Views of People Dependent on Help of other Persons on the Care Provided

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na pohled osob závislých na pomoci druhých na poskytovanou péči, konkrétně se zaměřením na seniory. Teoretická část diplomové práce se věnuje pojmům, jako je stáří, jeho definování a jaké změny přináší. Dále se práce věnuje potřebám a finanční pomoci ve stáří. Práce se v rámci teoretické části také zabývá zajištěním péče pro seniory, jak z historického hlediska, tak jsou zde uvedena specifika domácí péče a institucionální péče v domově pro seniory. Závěr teoretické části je zaměřen na kvalitu života seniora, což ovlivňují vztahy a volnočasové aktivity seniora. V praktické části diplomové práce je použit kvalitativní výzkum. K získání potřebných informací pro výzkum byla využita technika polostrukturovaného rozhovoru se zvolenými informanty, tedy seniory, o které je pečováno v domácím prostředí či v institucionálním zařízení. Rozhovory byly následně kódovány a za pomoci zakotvené teorie byl vytvořen závěr.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the perspective of people dependent on the help of others on the care provided, specifically focusing on the elderly. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to concepts such as old age, its definition and what changes it brings. Furthemore the thesis is devoted to the needs and financial assistance in old age. The theoretical part of the thesis also deals with the provision of care for the elderly, both from a historical point of view, and the specifics of home care and institutional care in a home for the elderly. The conclusion of the theoretical part is focused on the quality of life of the elderly, which affects the relationships and leisure activities of the elderly. In the practical part of the thesis qualitative research is used. To obtain the necessary information for the research, a semi-structured interview technique was used with selected informants, i.e. seniors who are cared for in a home or in an institutional facility. The interviews were then coded and a conclusion formed using grounded theory.
