Music and the Participants of the University of the Third Age in the city of Karolinka

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem účastnic Univerzity třetího věku v městě Karolinka k hudbě. Hlavní a nejobsáhlejší část práce tvoří autentický, nestandardizovaný průzkum, který byl prováděn s osmnácti respondenty, účastnicemi Univerzity třetího věku v městě Karolinka. Průzkumu předchází dva teoretické oddíly. V prvním je popsán fenomén stáří a stárnutí z pohledu geragogiky, jako vědy, a nabídka vzdělávání seniorů v České republice. Druhý oddíl se zaměřuje na sociokulturní profil města Karolinka a na možnosti, které seniorům toto město nabízí. Následující třetí oddíl představuje samotný průzkum, jenž je stěžejní částí práce a prezentuje výsledky praktické části práce. Průzkum je tvořen pěti empirickými metodami, a to zájmově preferenčním dotazníkem, znalostním a poslechovým testem, sémantickým diferenciálem, pozorováním a skupinovým rozhovorem. Každá metoda je teoreticky vymezena, interpretována a jsou k ní vytvořeny dílčí závěry s následnou celkovou konfrontací. Všechny podstatné výsledky byly statisticky zpracovány a byly vytvořeny grafy a tabulky, které poskytují přehledný náhled do výsledků průzkumu. Ukázky jednotlivých archů průzkumu jsou součástí přílohového materiálu práce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the relationship of the participants of the University of the Third Age in the town of Karolinka with music. The main and most comprehensive part of the thesis is an authentic, non-standardized survey, which was conducted with eighteen respondents, participants of the University of the Third Age in Karolinka. The survey is preceded by two theoretical sections. The first one describes the phenomenon of old age and aging from the perspective of geragogy, as a science, and the educational offer for senior citizens in the Czech Republic. The second section focuses on the sociocultural profile of the town of Karolinka and on the opportunities that the town offers to senior citizens. The following third section presents the survey itself, which is a central part of the thesis and presents the results of the practical part of the thesis. The survey consists of five empirical methods, namely the preferential questionnaire, the test of knowledge and listening, the semantic differential, the observation and the group interview. Each method is theoretically defined, interpreted, and partial conclusions are created, followed by overall confrontation. All significant results were statistically processed and graphs and tables were created in order to provide a clear insight into the survey results. Samples of individual survey sheets are part of the supplemental material of the thesis.
