Model Development For Evaluation of Lending Activities of Bank XY, a.s. Based on Unrealised Revenues and Prevented Losses.

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této práce je navrhnout systém pro zpětné vyhodnocování tzv. "exitova-ných" podniků banky XY, a.s na základě nerealizovaných výnosů a zamezených ztrát. Vedlejším cílem je analýza finančních ukazatelů podniků, Altmanova Z skóre a indexů IN95 a IN05 za účelem navrhnutí kritérií pro vyhodnocování v budoucnu. Teoretická část se věnuje především literární rešerši, zaměřené na problematiku úvěrového procesu. V této části práce jsou popsány procesy, na které navazuje praktická část. V praktické části jsou popsány jednotlivé kroky pro řešení stanoveného projektu, zejména je to stanovení metodiky pro řešení, je představen obecný model pro kvantifikaci nereali-zovaných výnosů spolu s jeho matematickým vyjádřením, jsou odhadnuty zamezené ztráty a opět uveden jejich obecný model s matematickým vyjádřením. Je provedena shluková analýza a vyhodnocena vypovídací schopnost Altmanova Z skóre a indexů IN95 a IN05. Práce je uzavřena udělením doporučení.

Abstract:

The ultimate goal of this master' s thesis is to design a system for ex post evaluation of companies, for which the risk department chose an exit strategy. The secondary goal is the analysis of financial ratios of the companies, Altman's Z score and indices IN95 and IN05 with the goal of proposing criteria for evaluation in the future The theoretical part is devoted mainly to the research of theoretical knowledge on the topic of the loan process. This part of the thesis describes all the processes, which are later used in the practical part. The practical part introduces the the individual steps required to solve the given project. Mainly it is the specification of the methodology used, a general model for the quantifi-cation of unrealized revenues is presented along with the equations used, prevented losses are estimated along with the mathematical expression. The cluster analysis is conducted and the relevancy of Altman Z score and IN95 and IN05 indices is evaluated. The thesis is concluded with author's recommendations.
