Gender discrimination in the labor market of the Czech republic in 2006-2021

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na genderovou diskriminaci na trhu práce České republiky. Analyzuje pracovní trh v časovém období let 2006–2021 na základě zvolených ukazatelů genderové diskriminace. Zkoumá reakci ukazatelů genderové diskriminace na hospodářský cyklus a proběhlé globální krize v tomto období. Následně je situace v České republice komparována s průměrem zemí OECD. Jak se ukazuje, situace se pro ženy na trhu práce stále zlepšuje, nejen v českém prostředí, ale je tomu tak i u průměru zemí OECD. V druhé části se práce věnuje dotazníkovému šetření, které si mimo jiné klade za cíl zjistit, zda vnímání respondentů genderové diskriminace ovlivňují faktory jako je pohlaví, věk, dosažené vzdělání a sektor, ve kterém pracují.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on gender discrimination in the labor market of the Czech Republic. It analyzes the labor market in the period 2006-2021 based on selected indicators of gender discrimination. It examines the response of indicators of gender discrimination to the economic cycle and the past global crisis during this period. The situation in the Czech Republic is compared with the average of OECD countries. As it turns out, the situation for women on the labor market continues to improve, not only in the Czech environment, but also in the average of OECD countries. In the second part, the work is devoted to a questionnaire survey, which, among other things, aims to find out whether the respondents' perception of gender discrimination is influenced by factors such as gender, age, educational attainment and the sector in which they work.
