A Woman as an Ambulance Driver

Abstract:

MARKOVÁ, Radka. Žena jako řidička ZZS. Vysoká škola zdravotnická, o. p. s. Stupeň kvalifikace: Bakalář (Bc.). Vedoucí práce: Mgr. Jaroslav Pekara, PhD. Praha, 2024, s. 84. Práce se zaměřuje na postavení žen řidiček ZZS v ČR. Cílem průzkumu bylo zjistit současné postavení žen na pozicích řidiček ZZS v ČR, jejich začleňování na tuto pracovní pozici a odhalení nejčastějších bariér, se kterými se ženy mohou při výkonu této činnosti setkat. Pro tvorbu praktické části práce byl zvolen kvalitativní průzkum formou rozhovorů s ženami řidičkami ZZS. Ze 20 respondentek bylo následně vybráno 11 rozhovorů, které byly pro práci nejpřínosnější. Z výsledků vyplynulo, že trend zaměstnávání žen na pozice řidiček má v ČR pozvolný nárust. Ženám je umožněno, aby tuto činnost mohly vykonávat. Nejčastějším problémem, se kterými se ženy potýkají jsou zažité stereotypy a z nich plynoucí předsudky vůči ženám jako řidičkám celkově. Tato činnost je stále zastoupena ve větší míře muži. Z výsledků vyplynulo, že ženy jsou schopné vykonávat tuto činnost stejně kvalitně jako muži, je jim ze stran zaměstnavatele poskytnuta možnost práci vykonávat, a i přes nižší fyzickou sílu si dokážou vždy poradit ve prospěch pacienta.

The thesis focuses on the position of women EMS drivers in the Czech Republic. The aim of the survey was to find out the current position of women in the positions of EMS drivers in the Czech Republic, their employment for this position and to reveal the most common barriers that women may encounter when performing this activity. For the creation of the practical part of the thesis, a qualitative survey was chosen in the form of interviews with women EMS drivers. Out of 20 interviews, 11 interviews were selected that were the most beneficial for the thesis. The results showed that the trend of employing women as drivers in the Czech Republic has been gradually increasing, and women are allowed to perform this activity. The most common problem that women face is ingrained stereotypes and the resulting prejudices against women as EMS drivers, as this work is still more represented by men. The results showed that women are able to perform this activity as well as men, they are provided with the opportunity to perform the work by the employer, and despite their lower physical strength, they are always able to cope for the benefit of the patient.
