The use of online social networks in company education

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou využití sociálních sítí ve firemním vzdělávání. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, popsat a vysvětlit jakým způsobem využívají lidé v jedné konkrétní obchodní společnosti sociální sítě ve svém učení, ke svému vzdělávání a osobnímu rozvoji. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část poskytuje vhled do dané problematiky, zabývá se tématy společnost vědění a celoživotní učení. V další části práce je objasněno téma firemního vzdělávání a učící se organizace. Dále se práce věnuje dospělým účastníkům vzdělávání, jejich přístupu ke vzdělávání, postoji k moderním technologiím a jejich motivaci v kontextu firemního vzdělávání. Je zde také objasněno téma sociálních sítí a způsoby využití sociálních sítí v učení dospělých. Empirická část práce popisuje konkrétní obchodní společnost a její systém vzdělávání. Ke zjištění pohledu nezávislých poradců na využití sociálních sítí ve zdělávání byla použita metoda hloubkových rozhovorů. Výstupem diplomové práce je diskuze výsledků s ohledem na limity výzkumu s náměty na další využití sociálních sítí ve vzdělávání ve firemním vzdělávání.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the use of social networks in company education. The aim of the thesis is to find out, describe and explain how people in a particular business company use their learning, education and personal development. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part provides an insight into the given issue, it deals with the themes of knowledge society and lifelong learning. The next part of the thesis explains the subject of corporate education and learning organization. Furthermore, the work is dedicated to adult learners, their access to education, attitudes towards modern technologies and their motivation in the context of corporate education. The topic of social networks is also clarified as well as ways of using on-line social networks in adult learning. The empirical part describes the particular business company and its education system. The method of in-depth interviews was used to identify the view of independent consultants on the use of social networks in education. The output of the diploma thesis is the discussion of results with respect to the limits of the research with suggestions for the further use of social networks in education in corporate education.
