Comparison of the development of unemployment in the Olomouc region, Prague and the Czech republic from 2010 to 2021

Abstract:

Předložená bakalářská práce se věnuje analýze nezaměstnanosti vybraných oblastí podle různých hledisek s následnou komparací jednotlivých zjištěných údajů mezi těmito oblastmi navzájem. Pro potřeby analýzy byla vybrána oblast Olomouckého kraje, Hlavního města Prahy. Obě tyto oblasti byly následně porovnávány s celou Českou republikou. Teoretická část práce charakterizuje základní pojmy z oblasti pracovního trhu a nezaměstnanosti. Praktická část práce vychází především z údajů dostupných z veřejné databáze Českého statistického úřadu a údajů Ministerstva práce a sociálních věcí České republiky. V první řadě jsou stručně charakterizovány zkoumané oblasti včetně trhu práce. V další části je v těchto oblastech zkoumán vývoj struktury obyvatelstva. Součástí analytické části bylo vymezení hypotézy – která se týkala předpokladu, že nejnižší podíl nezaměstnaných osob bude ve všech zkoumaných oblastech v kategorii s vyšším a vysokoškolským vzděláním.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is devoted to the analysis of unemployment in selected areas (in Olomouc Region, Capital City of Prague) according to various points of view and both of these regions were compared with the entire Czech Republic. The theoretical part of this work characterizes the basic concepts of the labor market and unemployment. The practical part of this work is primarily based on data available from the public database of the Czech Statistical Office and data from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic. First of all, the researched areas are briefly characterized, including the labor market. The next part examines the development of the population structure in these areas. Part of the analytical part was the definition of one hypothese – which related to the assumption that the lowest number of unemployed persons in all areas would be in the category with higher and university education.
