Analysis of the recruitment process in a selected company focusing on the field of information technology

Abstract:

Vybraná společnost se zaměřuje na poskytování služeb a prodej produktů s využitím digitálních technologií. Personální oddělení ve společnosti zaštiťuje 6 tisíc zaměstnanců a ročně obsadí stovky pozic. Vzhledem k činnosti společnosti značná část z nich spadá do oboru IT. Na českém trhu práce je však IT specialistů nedostatek, a proto je třeba pro jejich získání přizpůsobit náborový proces. Cílem této práce bylo zhodnotit, zda společnost přistupuje k náboru efektivně a využívá všech doporučovaných a dostupných cest. Pro získání potřebných informací o náborovém procesu ve společnosti byly provedeny čtyři rozhovory a na základě nich proběhla analýza získaných interních dat. Po porovnání praktického přístupu společnosti k náborovému procesu s teoretickými přístupy bylo zjištěno, že společnost dodržuje více než polovinu doporučených zásad, přesto je zde však prostor pro zlepšení. Tato zlepšení byla závěrem konkrétně definována.

Abstract:

The selected company focuses on providing services and selling products using digital technologies. The company's HR department employs 6,000 people and covers hundreds of positions annually. Due to the company's activities, a significant number of vacancies belong within the IT sector. However, there is a shortage of IT specialists in the Czech labour market, and therefore the recruitment process needs to be adapted to attract these specialists. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate whether the company approaches recruitment effectively and uses all recommended and available methods. Four interviews were conducted, and internal data was analyzed in order to acquire the requisite information about the company's recruitment process. After comparing the company's practical approach to the recruitment process with the theoretical approaches, it was found that the company follows more than half of the recommended principles, however, there is still a potential for improvement. These improvements were specifically defined in the conclusion.
