Management of Banking Risks and their Impact on the Banking Sector

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá řízením bankovních rizik a jejich dopadem na bankovní sektor. V práci jsou nejprve uvedeny základní pojmy z bankovnictví, vývoj a principy bankovní regulace a dohledu, historie a vývoj Basilejských dohod. Dále jsou charakterizována jednotlivá rizika, kterými jsou banky ohroženy při své činnosti a způsoby řízení bankovních rizik v kontextu kapitálové přiměřenosti. Na IRB přístupu pro měření úvěrového rizika je uveden nedostatek konceptu Basel II a následně je vymezena implementace nové regulace Basel III s případným dopadem na tuzemský bankovní sektor.

Abstract:

The topic of this dissertation is the leading of the bank´s risks and its incidence on a bank´s sector. At first are in this work named the basic bank´s concepts, the development and the principles of the bank´s regulation and control, history and the development of the Basilej´s conventions. Below, there are charakterized each of the risks, which threaten the bank´s within it´s work and the means of leading of the bank´s risks in the context of the capital suitability. On the access of IRB for the metering of the credit risk, there is named the absence of the concept BASEL II and consequently there is allowed the implementation of the new regulation BASEL III wit the relevant incidence on the native bank´s sector.
