Execution of imprisonment in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je provést deskripci českého vězeňského systému a seznámit čtenáře s chodem věznic v České republice. Dále chce autor seznámit čtenáře se zákonnými normami a demonstrovat je na uvedených příkladech. V této bakalářské práci bude využita metoda dotazníkového šetření a metoda řízeného rozhovoru. Zacílení autor bude hledat v jednotlivých sektorech vězeňského systému České republiky a následném zhodnocení stávající situace českého vězeňství s ohledem na druh, funkci a způsob výkonu trestu odnětí svobody, zejména pak na současnou epidemiologickou situaci koronaviru. Tyto výstupy budou hodnoceny na základě analýzy a studia odborné literatury a dokumentů. Dále se bude autor v bakalářské práci věnovat vlastním úvahám, doporučením a aplikaci poznatků, které získal během studia odborné literatury a studia oboru na střední a vysoké škole. Dojde ke komparaci a vzájemnému provázání aplikací, návrhů a samotnému výkonu trestu odnětí svobody.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the Czech prison system and to acquaint readers with the operation of prisons in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the author wants to acquaint the reader with the legal norms and demonstrate them on the given examples. In this bachelor thesis, the method of questionnaire survey and the method of guided interview will be used. The author will look in the individual sectors of the prison system of the Czech Republic and subsequently evaluate the current situation of Czech prisons with regard to the type, function and method of imprisonment, especially the current epidemiological situation of coronavirus. These outputs will be evaluated on the basis of analysis and study of professional literature and documents. Furthermore, the author will focus on his own reflections, recommendations and application of knowledge gained during the study of professional literature and the study of the field at high school and university. There will be a comparison and interconnection of applications, proposals and the actual execution of imprisonment.
