Abstract:
Bakterie rodu Elizabethkingia jsou gram-negativní, nesporulující, nepohyblivé tyčky. Vyskytují se volně v prostředí, např. ve vodě a v půdě, ale vzácně mohou způsobit onemocnění u člověka s oslabeným imunitním systémem. V takovém případě způsobují především meningitidy, pneumonie nebo sepse a léčba onemocnění je složitá kvůli multirezistentnímu charakteru bakterie vůči mnoha antibiotikům. Tyto bakterie …more
Abstract:
Bacteriae of the genus Elizabethkingia are gram-negative, non-sporing, non-motile rods. They are widespread in an environment, such as water or soil. But rarely they can cause disease in immunocompromised humans. In that case, bacteria can cause meningitis, pneumonia or sepsis and treatment is difficult because of multi-resistance nature of this organisms to antibiotics.
