On User Tracking Threats on the World Wide Web by means of Social Networks

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku hrozeb sledování uživatelů prostřednictvím sociálních sítí. S rozvojem digitálních technologií a nárůstem používání sociálních sítí se objevují hrozby spojené se soukromím a bezpečností uživatelů. Cílem této práce je prozkoumat jej. Zjistit hrozby sledování, kterým jsou uživatelé sociálních sítí vystaveni, a analyzovat jejich dopady na soukromí a bezpečnost. Práce se zaměřuje na popis různých možností sledování uživatelů na sociálních sítích, včetně sběru a využití osobních údajů a manipulace s obsahem. Dále zkoumá právní a etické aspekty těchto hrozeb a analyzuje současnou legislativu v oblasti ochrany soukromí na sociálních sítích. V praktické části diplomové práce jsou na základě analýzy zhodnoceny různé formy sledování, kterým jsou uživatelé sociálních sítí vystaveni, a navrženy možné strategií a opatření pro ochranu jejich soukromí.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the issue of threats posed by user tracking through social networks. With the development of digital technologies and the increasing use of social networks, new challenges related to user privacy and security have emerged. The aim of this thesis is to explore various threats of tracking, faced by users of social networks and analyze their impact on privacy and security. The thesis focuses on describing different possibilities of user tracking on social networks, including the collection and utilization of personal data and content manipulation. Furthermore, it examines the legal and ethical aspects of these threats and analyzes the current legislation in the field of privacy protection on social networks. In the practical part of the thesis, the analysis evaluates the different forms of surveillance to which social network users are exposed and proposes possible strategies and measures to protect their privacy.
