Teaching methods in vocational subjects at secondary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou výukových metod používaných učiteli odborných předmětů na SŠ a VOŠ cestovního ruchu v Českých Budějovicích se zaměřením na moderní výukové metody a používání technických pomůcek při výuce. Práce se skládá ze dvou základních částí – teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části jsou rozebrány jednotlivé výukové metody a uvedeny příklady využití takových metod v praxi. Zvláštní kapitola je věnována moderním technickým výukovým pomůckám. V praktické části jsou uvedena výzkumná tvrzení, metodika výzkumu i popis zkoumané skupiny respondentů. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké výukové metody učitelé dané školy nejčastěji při výuce využívají, zda jsou obeznámeni s technickým vybavením školy, jaký je postoj vedení k novým výukovým metodám a postoj učitelů k využívání technických pomůcek, které mají ve škole k dispozici.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the teaching methods used by specialist subject teachers at the Secondary and Vocational School of Tourism (SŠ a VOŠ cestovního ruchu) in České Budějovice, Czech Republic, focusing principally on the use of current teaching methods and the use of technological aids in classes. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The former examines various teaching methods and presents specific examples of how these methods can be used in practice. A separate section discusses current technological aids. The practical section presents research hypotheses and methodology, and describes the group of respondents. The main aim of this research is to establish which teaching methods are most commonly used at the school, to what extent the teachers are familiar with the technology available in the school, as well as the attitudes of the management towards new teaching methods, and the attitudes of the teaching staff towards using the technological aids at their disposal.
