The use of zootherapy in social services focused at the mentally handicapped people

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá zooterapií a jejím využíváním v sociálních službách, které jsou zaměřené na mentálně handicapované jedince. Je tvořena teoretickou a empirickou částí. Teoretická část je rozvržena do tří kapitol. První je věnována zooterapii. Je zde popsána definice zooterapie, její metodika a historie. Zvolili jsme tři druhy zooterapie, které jsme konkrétně popsali. Zaměřujeme se také na domestikaci zvířat. Druhá kapitola je věnována mentálnímu postižení. Tato kapitola je dále rozčleněna na tři podkapitoly, ve kterých se zmiňuji o klasifikaci mentálního postižení a názorech veřejnosti. Poslední kapitolou jsou sociální služby, ty jsou rozděleny na obecné informace, standardy a druhy. V empirické části jsme prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření dotazovali respondenty na míru a podobu využití zooterapie, dále na důvody praktikování této terapie a také nás zajímali názory o působení zooterapie na její klienty. V závěru uvádíme analýzu a interpretaci získaných dat. Na základě těchto dat verifikujeme stanovené hypotézy.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis is focused on the Zootherapy and its use in the social services, which are intended for the mentally disabled people. The thesis is consisted of two parts, a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretic part is divided into three chapters. The first one is focused on the Zootherapy, its definition, methodology and history. I choose three types of the zoothrapy, which are specifically described. I also focus on a domestication of animals. The second chapter is about mental disability. This chapter has three subheads with classification of mental disability and public opinion on this issue. The last chapter is focused on the social services general information, standards and types of the social services. In the empiric part, I analyse and interpret the data from my survey research. Fraction of the empiric part is focused on a confirmation or a rebuttal of hypothesis.
