The Ways of Reception of Theatre Performance

Abstract:

Tato disertační práce se zabývá různými možnostmi divákova vnímání divadelního díla, se zvláštním důrazem na prozkoumávání diváka coby „aktivního spolutvůrce“. Vychází přitom z kombinované metodologie uměleckého výzkumu a divadelně-teoretických přístupů, které zde primárně reprezentuje teorie duálního vnímání J. Etlíka, kognitivně-teatrologické uvažování B. McConachieho a koncept „diváka jako spolutvůrce“ E.F.Lichte.První kapitola se zabývá analýzou představení Tady je ještě všechno možné v režii I. Buraje s důrazem na možností, které toto představení nabízí divácké recepci, s důrazem na překonávání dichotomie „jednajícího“ a „pozorujícího“.Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na divákovo pobývání mezi dvěma rovinami divadelního díla prizmatem J. Etlíka a B. McConachieho s důrazem na reflexi aktivního pojetí konceptů paměti a pozornosti.Třetí kapitola prozkoumává „konceptuální integraci“ G. Fauconniera a M. Turnera coby model nasvěcující jisté možnosti divákova spoluutváření představení, který je následně ve vztahu k otázce prezentace a reprezentace vztažen ke konceptu „psa na jevišti“ B. O. Statese.Čvrtá kapitola se zaměřuje na koncept „diváka jako spolutvůrce“ E.F. Lichte a prozkoumává ho ve vztahu k dvojí rovině rovině divadelního představení a konceptů „sdílení“ a „sdělování“ v pojetí J. Císaře a J. Etlíka.Pátá kapitola se věnuje reflexi výsledků Výzkumu diváků a diváctví, který je založený na tematické analýze rozhovorů s diváky po představení Dům v jabloních a nahlíží jisté aspekty situace diváka coby „spolutvůrce“ z perspektivy konkrétních diváků.

Abstract:

This dissertation focuses on various possibilities of audience perception of theatrical works, with an emphasis on exploring the audience as an "active co-creator." It is based on a combined methodology of artistic research and theater-theoretical approaches, primarily represented by J.Etlík's theory of dual perception, B. McConachie's cognitive-theatrical thinking, and E.F. Lichte's concept of the "audience as co-creator." The first chapter analyzes the performance "Tady je ještě všechno možné" directed by I. Buraj, with a focus on the possibilities that this production offers for audience reception, particularly in overcoming the dichotomy between "doer" and "viewer".The second chapter examines the audience's presence between the two levels of the theatrical work through the prism of J. Etlík and B. McConachie, with an emphasis on reflecting the active understanding of the concepts of memory and attention.The third chapter explores the "conceptual integration" of G. Fauconnier and M.Turner as a model suggesting certain possibilities of the audience's co-creation of the performance, which is then related to the theoretical questions in relation to B. O. States' concept of the "dog on stage."The fourth chapter focuses on E.F. Lichte's concept of the "audience as co-creator" and examines it in relation to the doubleness of the theatrical performance and the theorical concepts of J. Císař and J. Etlík.The fifth chapter reflects on the results of the Audience and Spectator Research, which is based on thematic analysis of interviews with audiences after the performance "Dům v jabloních" and examines certain aspects of the audience's situation as a "co-creator" from the perspective of specific spectators.
