Homelessness - Extreme expulsion and the significance of family for the people living on the streets

Abstract:

Tématem předkládané diplomové práce je fenomén bezdomovectví z pohledu příčin a faktorů vzniku bezdomovectví, vazeb na celospolečenské jevy, vlivu rodinného prostředí, a možností pomoci bezdomovcům ze strany rodiny, úřadů a organizací. Cílem práce bylo získat aktuální informace o problematice bezdomovectví v Ostravě, konkrétně městském obvodu Ostrava-Jih. Získaná data by mohla být součástí základu budoucí obvodní koncepce sociální práce s rodinou i touto skupinou občanů /klientů/. Vedlejším cílem práce bylo zjištění místních specifik pro základ budoucí obvodní strategie práce s rodinou a prevenci sociálního vyloučení. Využito bylo kombinace technik kvalitativního i kvantitativního výzkumu, například studium dokumentů /kazuistiky 80 klientů, statistiky KP města Ostravy/ a dotazník vlastní konstrukce, který byl distribuován v počtu cca 400 kusů mezi návštěvníky největšího nákupního centra obvodu Schoping parku v Ostravě Zábřehu. Významné pro praxi jsou informace o názorech a požadavcích občanů v souvislosti s touto problematikou. Přílohou práce je přepis rozhovorů s klienty, jichž se výzkumná část týká.

Abstract:

The subject of this dissertation thesis is the phenomenon of homelessness from perspective of the causes and factors of origin the homelessness, links to society-wide phenomenon, the influence of family environment, and possibility how to help the homeless from the family, authorities and organizations side. The aim was to obtain current information about the issue of homelessness in Ostrava, namely district Ostrava-Jih. The resulting data could be part of a basis for future district concept of social work with families and this group of citizen /clients/. A secondary aim of this dissertation thesis was to determination of the local specific for basic of future district strategy of working with families and prevents social exclusion. Used was a combination of techniques of qualitative and quantitative research, such as studying documents /case interpretation of 80 clients, statistics KP Ostrava / and questionnaire of own structure, which was distributed in about 400 pieces between visitors of the largest shopping center district Schoping park in Ostrava Zábřeh. For praxis are important information of the opinions and demands of citizens in relation to this issue. Attached of this dissertation thesis is a transcript of interviews with clients, which are part of the research questions.
