The issue of derelict and vacant sites is the current topic in the field of human geography and regional development. The reason of the formation of brownfield sites was caused by transformation of economy after 1989 in the Czech Republic, when the restructuring of the economy was causing a decline in production, mainly in the primary and secondary sectors.
