Comparison of fundraising strategies of non-profit organizations with a focus on training assistance dogs according to selected criteria

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou fundraisingových strategií vybraných neziskových organizací, které se zaměřují na výcvik asistenčních psů v ČR. V teoretické části diplomové práce jsou rozebrány teoretické poznatky související s odvětvím nestátních neziskových organizací a vymezen pojem fundraising. Praktická část má za cíl zhodnotit a porovnat úspěšnost fundraisingových strategií a aktivit jednotlivých vybraných a analyzovaných organizací a následně poskytnout případná optimalizační doporučení, která by měla vést ke zlepšení efektivity fundraisingových strategií organizací. Současný stav fundraisingu některých z analyzovaných organizací je spíše zaměřený na určité metody a není snaha o rozšiřování možností financování. Hlavním navrženým řešením je vytvoření pracovní pozice fundraisera a následně fundraisingového plánu, který bude obsahovat širší škálu použití fundraisingových metod.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the analysis of fundraising strategies of selected non-governmental non-profit organizations that focuses on training assistance dogs in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses theoretical knowledge related to the non-governmental non-profit organizations and defines the concept of fundraising. The practical part aims to evaluate and compare the success of fundraising strategies and activities of selected and analysed organizations and subsequently to provide possible optimization recommendations, which should lead to improving the effectiveness of fundraising strategies of organizations. The current state of fundraising of some of the analysed organizations is rather simple and there is no attempt to expand fundraising opportunities. The main solution is to create a job position of fundraiser and then create a fundraising plan that will include a broader range of fundraising methods.
