Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá ilustrací, jejím významem v obrázkové knize a také vztahem dětí k ilustraci a k obrázkovým knihám. V teoretické části diplomové práce jsou vysvětleny pojmy ilustrace a obrázková kniha. Dále se práce zabývá podobou současné české ilustrace, zejména osobnostmi, s jejichž prací se v této oblasti můžeme setkat. S ohledem na informace o obrázkové knize je v diplomové práci též zařazena kapitola o nakladatelstvích, která se zaměřují na produkci obrázkových knih pro děti a mládež. V první části práce jsou shrnuta také specifika vnímání ilustrací s ohledem na věk dítěte. Praktická část diplomové práce se zaměřuje na vybraných deset knih a jejich autory. Popisuje umělecké kvality knih i jejich potenciál ve vztahu k dětskému čtenáři. Dále jsou v praktické části shrnuty výsledky dotazníku, který byl dán dětem vybraných ročníků ve zvolené mateřské a základní škole a který se zabýval jednak vztahem dětí k obrázkové knize, jednak jejich požadavky na ilustrace v knihách. Cílem diplomové práce je přiblížit informace o ilustraci, respektive obrázkové knize, a zjistit názor dětí, jako očekávaných a žádoucích recipientů obrázkové knihy, na jim předkládané ilustrace.

Abstract:

Master thesis deals with the illustration, its importance in the picture book. It deals with the relationship of children to the illustration and to the picturebooks too. The theoretical part of the Master thesis explains concepts of illustration and picture book. Furthermore, the thesis deals with contemporary Czech illustrations, especially with personalities whose work we can meet in this section. With regard to the information about the picture book, the Master thesis also includes a chapter about publishers focusing on the production of picture books for children and youth. The first part of the thesis also summarizes the specifics of the perception of illustrations with respect to the age of the child. The practical part of the Master thesis focuses on ten selected books and their authors. It describes the artistic quality of books and their potential in relation to the child reader. In the practical part there are summarized the results of the questionnaire, which was given to the children of selected years in the chosen kindergarten and elementary school and which dealt with the relationship of children to the picture book and their requirements for illustrations in books. The main aim of the Master thesis is to bring information about the illustration and picture books, and to find the opinion of the children as the expected and desirable recipients of the picture book on the presented illustrations.
