The great Most strike a seen by those time daylies

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je odhalit mediální obraz Velké mostecké stávky na stránkách Rudého práva a Lidových novin. Zachycení nejdůležitějších momentů a témat Velké mostecké stávky v obou denících a jejich následná komparace pomocí historicko srovnávací metody vede k odhalení mediálního obrazu Velké mostecké stávky v obou zkoumaných denících. Lidové noviny jsem vybrala do analýzy kvůli jejich pověsti nezávislého, demokratického listu. Rudé právo bylo do analýzy vybráno, protože bylo tiskovým orgánem KSČ, která se postavila do čela stávkového hnutí spolu s DNSAP. Okrajově se práce dotýká průběhu světové ekonomické krize v Československé republice, socioekonomické problematiky v mosteckém regionu a charakteristiky zkoumaných deníků. Tyto kapitoly pomohou zasadit Velkou mosteckou stávku do historického a socio-politického kontextu.

Abstract:

The document deals with an image of the Great Most Strike as given on the pages of Rudé právo and Lidové noviny paper. The interpretation of the most significant minutes and topics of the Great Most Strike within the both journals and their following comparison with the assistance of a historical comparative method leads to the revelation of a media picture of the Great Most Strike in the both investigated dailies. I made a choice of Lidové noviny to be involved within the study due to its reputation as an independent and democratic paper. The other paper Rudé právo was chosen to be analyzed because it presented to the public a standpoint of the Communist party, the party which put itself in the lead of the strike movement alongside with DNSAP party. The document touches marginally a course of the World Economic Depression as it appeared in Czechoslovakia, social economic problems in Most region and it also deals with the features of the both journals in question. These chapters should enable us to put the Great Most Strike into a social and political context as seen from the historical perspective.
