Accounting year-end closing of a company in hospitality

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem účetní závěrky. Zhodnocení výnosnosti a provedení základních analýz účetních údajů získaných na základě účetní závěrky je hlavním úkolem této práce. V teoretické části je pojednáno o účetnictví a účetní závěrce z pohledu účetní teorie a aktuálních právních předpisů platných v České republice. V praktické části je analyzována účetní závěrka společnosti Ještěd, spol. s r. o. Jsou analyzovány výkazy zisku a ztrát a rozvaha společnosti za období od roku 2008 do roku 2014. Výkazy jsou analyzovány metodou vertikální analýzy, horizontální analýzy a jsou provedeny základní výpočty rentability společnosti v jednotlivých letech. Provedené analýzy jsou okomentovány a jsou z nich vyvozeny závěry pro uživatele účetních výkazů. Vypočtené údaje jsou pak přiloženy v přílohách 1- 8. Je poukázáno na jejich zjištěné slabé stránky. Na základě použitých analýz je následně vyhodnocena stanovená hypotéza H0. V této práci jsou použity metody analýzy, syntézy a hodnocení. Dále je použita finanční analýzy. Na analyzovaných primárních datech společnosti Ještěd, spol. s. r. o., jsou pomocí komparace vypočtených ukazatelů vyvozeny závěry a hodnocení. Při vyvozování obecných závěrů a soudů bylo použito především metod dedukce, syntézy a indukce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the accounting year-end closure and financial statements. The objective of this work is to analyse the year-end financial statements of the Jested spol. s r.o during the years 2008 - 2014. It aims to evaluate the efficiency of the business and its rate of profit using the profitability ratios and the vertical and horizontal analysis. The theoretical part deals with the accounting and year-end closure from the perspective of the accounting theory and the current legislation in the Czech Republic. The practical part analyses the financial statements of the jested spol. s r.o. The profit and loss statement and balance sheet from the 2008 - 2014 time period are analysed. The financial statements are analysed using the vertical analysis, horizontal analysis and also the calculations of company's profitability in particular years are provided. The completed analyses are described and the appropriate conclusions for users of the financial statements are derived. The calculated metrics are included in Annex 1 - 8. Also the weaknesses identified are pointed out. The hypothesis H0 is evaluated using the provided analyses. This work uses the method of analysis, synthesis and evaluation. Also the mathematical and statistical method is used when the data found from publicly accessible sources are analysed using the time lines and index analysis. The conclusions and evaluation are drawn on the analysed primary data of the Jested, spol. s r. o. using the comparison with calculated indicators. The methods of deduction, synthesis and induction were used to draw general conclusions.
