Analysis of activities of an industrial company on the basis of publicly accessible data

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rozborem činnosti a fungováním vodohospodářské akciové společnosti působící v Královéhradeckém kraji. Teoretická část poskytuje souhrnné informace o vodárenství v České republice od historie až po současnost, popisuje stávající problematiku oboru a provozní modely českého vodárenství. V této části práce jsou též definovány základní činnosti a typologie podniku. V praktické části jsou uvedeny základní informace o vybrané společnosti, je vysvětlen model vlastnictví a fungování, který firma provozuje, její strategie, investiční plán a zdroje financování. Cílem práce je pomocí finančních ukazatelů metodou komparace zhodnotit, jak se společnost dokázala vypořádat se změnou modelu fungování, a definovat, jak se potýká s problematikou financování investičních potřeb. Údaje, které byly v této bakalářské práci použity, byly převzaty z veřejně přístupných zdrojů.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with analysis of activity and functioning of water joint-stock company working in Královéhradecký region. Theoretical part gives general information about water supply system in the Czech Republic from its history till present, describes current problems of the water sector and the operational models being used in the Czech water supply. There are also fundamental activities and typologies of a company defined in this part of the thesis. In the practical part you can find basic information about the selected company, explanation of the model of ownership and operating that is being used in the company, strategy of the company, its investment plan and financial resources. The aim of this work is to evaluate thanks to the financial statements by the method of comparison, the way how the company deals with the change of its operational model, and to define how the company meets the problem of financing the investment needs. All data used in this thesis were assumed from the publicly accessible data.
