Commented Translation of a Non-literary text from French into Czech Oriented on Tourism

Abstract:

The master?s thesis called ?Commented translation from French into Czech focused on tourism? deals with the translation of a professional text. The thesis consists of three main parts. In the first part there is a French-into-Czech translation of the text from the publication ?Le Tourisme en France? by the statistics office INSEE. In the second part we focus on the comment that contains an analysis of the source text and on the translation problems from the stylistic and syntaxic point of view. We develope the large part of the problematic ? terminology. The last part is a tourism terminological glossary, and the conclusion summing up the sufficient solution in translations.The aim of our master?s thesis is an equivalent translation of a professional text, administration of a glossary, and to give a summary of problems with translations.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Komentovaný překlad z francouzštiny do češtiny zaměřený na cestovní ruch se soustředí na překlad odborného textu. Tato práce sestává ze tří hlavních částí. První část tvoří samotný překlad francouzského textu statistického úřadu INSEE z publikace Le Tourisme en France, do češtiny. V druhé části se zaměřujeme zejména na komentář, jež obsahuje analýzu výchozího textu a na překladatelské problémy z hlediska stylistiky a syntaxe. Rozvíjíme také podstatnou část problematiky, a to terminologii. Poslední částí je terminologický glosář z oblasti cestovního ruchu a závěr shrnující adekvátní řešení při překladu. Cílem naší diplomové práce je ekvivalentní překlad odborného textu, poskytnutí glosáře a učinění přehledu problémů při převodu výchozího textu do cílového.
