Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vytvoření českých titulků k dokumentárnímu filmu Alltag in der DDR - 1981 Doku pro české publikum, následné sepsání komentáře k vytvořeným titulkům, jejich rozbor a objasnění překladatelských problémů při tvorbě titulků k cizojazyčnému filmu. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá teorií překladu a druhy překladů, které definují překlad jako disciplínu. Následuje rozbor překladatelského procesu a popis vhodných vlastností překladatele včetně jeho mentálního nastavení v průběhu procesu překládání. Dále je v teoretické části také podrobně a přehledně rozebrán rozdíl mezi překladem a tlumočením, jelikož tvorba titulků je disciplína, která má blízko jak k překladu, tak k tlumočení. Praktická část se zabývá tvorbou českých titulků k filmu. Dále se praktická část zabývá řešením překladatelských problémů, které se při překladu objevily. K odborným termínům byli vytvořeny glosáře, které jsou rozděleny na vybrané oblasti. Autorovo úkolem bylo všechny tyto problémy vyřešit tak, aby titulky dávaly česky mluvícímu divákovi smysl a stíhal je v průběhu filmu číst.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create Czech subtitles for the documentary film "Alltag in der DDR - 1981 Doku" for the Czech audience, to write a commentary on the created subtitles, to analyse them and to clarify the translation problems in creating subtitles for a film in a foreign language . The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the theory of translation and the types of translation that define translation as a discipline. This is followed by an analysis of the translation process and a description of the appropriate characteristics of a translator, including his or her mental attitude during the translation process. Furthermore, the theoretical section also provides a detailed and clear discussion of the difference between translation and interpreting, as subtitling is a discipline that is close to both translation and interpreting. The practical part presents the creation of Czech subtitles for the film. Furthermore, the practical part covers the solving of translation problems that have arisen during translation. Glossaries have been created for technical terms, which are divided into selected areas. The author's task was to solve all these problems so that the subtitles would make sense to the Czech-speaking audience.
