Ronald Reagan byl prezidentem Spojených států skoro 10 let a za tu dobu byl zarytým nepřítelem Sovětského svazu. Během svého mandátu se snažil ekonomicky i vojensky Sovětský svaz narušit a oslabit. Jeho program SDI se stal i přes počáteční kritiku směrodatným prostředkem, díky kterému měl při jednání se sovětskými zástupci navrch. Abstract:
Ronald Reagan was president of the United States for nearly 10 years, and during that time he was a staunch enemy of the Soviet Union. During his mandate, he tried to disrupt and weaken the Soviet Union economically and militarily.
