Prisonisation and specifics of life in the current penitentiary conditions

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá otázkou prizonizace a specifiky života ve věznici nejen z pohledu vězněných osob, ale i z pohledu odborného personálu, který je s vězněnými jedinci denně v přímém kontaktu a může tak posoudit, zda u konkrétního jedince došlo v průběhu uvěznění ke korekci vzorců chování či nikoli. To, zda u zkoumaných jedinců došlo ke korekci vzorců chování, bylo ověřováno pomocí kazuistických studií vybraných vězňů. Výstupem této práce je doporučení pro orgány Vězeňské služby ČR, jak zkvalitnit penitenciární proces, s cílem eliminovat faktory, jež významnou měrou přispívají k prizonizaci. Výzkumné šetření bylo realizováno ve věznicích Bělušice a Teplice.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is dealing with the question of prisonisation and the prison life specifics from the perspectives of both imprisoned persons and the professional staff, who is in day-to-day direct contact with the imprisoned persons and thus can assess if the behavior patterns of individual were corrected or weren't. Correction of behavior patterns of the selected individuals will be assessed by the case study of the selected prisoners. The outcome of this theses will be a recommendation to Vězeňská služba ČR (Corrections and Rehabilitation Authority of the Czech Republic) on how to improve the penitentiary process with the aim to eliminate the factors which significantly contribute to the prisonisation. The case study will be performed in the Bělušice and Teplice prisons.
