The possibilities and limitations of the post-penitentiary care in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma možnosti a limity postpenitenciární péče se věnuje problematice penitenciární péče, která probíhá v rámci výkonu trestu odnětí svobody a na ni plynule navazující péčí postpenitenciární, která probíhá po propuštění odsouzeného. Popisuje možnosti péče a charakterizuje státní i nestátní formy pomoci. Důležitý je i samotný systém vězeňství v České republice, jehož pracovníci spolupracují formou programu zacházení s institucemi penitenciární a postpenitenciární péče na snížení rizika recidivy a pomoci reintegrovat propuštěného zpět do společnosti. Praktická část je vypracována pomocí kvantitativního způsobu získávání informací, tedy dotazníkovým šetřením, které zjišťuje postoje a povědomí veřejnosti na téma postpenitenciární péče a osob propuštěných z výkonu trestu odnětí svobody.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis with the topic possibilities and limitation of the post-penitentiary care is focused on problematics of penitentiary care, which take place during the execution of a custodial sentence and the continuous follow-up of post-penitentiary care wich take place when people are released from prison. It describes the possibilities of care and characterizes state and non-state forms of assistance. The prison system in the Czech republic is also important, their staff need to work together in the form of a programme of treatment with institutions of penitentiary and post-penitentiary care to reduce the risk of recidivism and help to reintegrate the released back into society. The practical part is using a quantitative method of obtaining information, a questionnaire survey which try to find public attitudes and awareness on post-penitentiary care and those people release from prison.
