King Sinacherib of Assyria at the gates of the city of Jerusalem
Abstract:
Tato práce zkoumá obléhání judského města Jeruzaléma asyrským králem Sinacheribem v roce 701 př. n. l. Součástí práce je přiblížení událostí souvisejících s obléháním tohoto města. Zároveň jsou zde v stručných rysech představeni panovníci obou zemí.
Abstract:
This thesis examines the siege of the Judean city of Jerusalem by the Assyrian king Sinacherib in 701 B.C. The thesis includes an account of the events related to the siege of this city. At the same time, the rulers of both countries are briefly introduced.
