Supporting the Development of Speech in Preschool Children Through Drama Education

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám dramatickou výchovou a jejími metodami a technikami při podpoře vývoje řeči dětí předškolního věku. První kapitola se zabývá vývojem řeči, jeho jednotlivými stádii a také riziky vývoje řeči a narušenou komunikační schopností. Druhá a třetí kapitola se zabývá klíčovými pojmy dramatické výchovy, jejími principy, cíli, metodami a technikami a také využitím metod a technik dramatické výchovy, které podporují vývoj řeči dětí předškolního věku. Čtvrtá, praktická část popisuje soubor prováděných lekcí při práci s předškolními dětmi v mateřské škole uskutečňovaných během celého školního roku. U dvou vybraných dětí s narušenou komunikační schopností aktivně zapojuji metody dramatické výchovy a vybraná logopedická cvičení s cílem podpořit přirozenou a nenásilnou formou správný rozvoj řeči a komunikačních schopností. Cílem je zjistit, zda je možné vybranými metodami dramatické výchovy podpořit vývoj řeči dětí předškolního věku s narušenou složkou řečového vývoje.

Abstract:

My thesis deals with drama education and its methods and techniques used to facilitate speech development in preschool children. The first chapter deals with the development of speech and its individual stages, as well as risks related to the speech development, and impaired communication abilities. The second and the third chapter presents principal concepts pertaining to drama education, its principles, goals, methods and techniques, as well as their utilization in facilitating the development of speech of preschool children. The fourth part describes a set of practical lessons taught to preschool children in kindergarten throughout the school year. Two children with impaired communication abilities were selected to be actively involved in activities utilizing the methods of drama education and to perform speech therapy exercises in order to encourage, in a natural and spontaneous manner, the proper development of speech and communication skills. The aim is to determine whether it is possible to promote the development of speech of preschool children with impaired speech using the selected methods of drama education.
