The Role of a Guidance Counsellor at the High School in Coordination with Counselling Institutions of Karlovy Vary Region.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na téma "Role výchovných poradců na SŠ ve spolupráci s poradenskými zařízeními Karlovarského kraje." Cílem diplomové práce je zpracovat analýzu role výchovného poradce a forem spolupráce se školskými poradenskými zařízeními v oblasti podpory školní úspěšnosti a vzdělávání žáků. Práce má čtyři kapitoly: úvod, teoretická východiska, praktickou část a závěr. V práci jsou představeny zdroje informací pro výchovné poradce, náplň a metody práce výchovných poradců a samotná problematika spolupráce výchovných poradců s dalšími poradenskými, popř. i podpůrnými zařízeními. Praktická část obsahuje cíle a hypotézy, volbu metodologie, charakter výzkumného vzorku, pojednání o respondentech, výsledky výzkumu, oblasti a metody spolupráce s jednotlivými zařízeními a shrnutí výzkumu, jehož součástí byla i verifikace výzkumu. V rámci výzkumu se podařilo zjistit, že z hlediska spolupráce s poradenskými zařízeními byla jasně preferovaná spolupráce s PPP (Pedagogicko-psychologická poradna), což je však dáno i náplní práce a činnosti poradenských zařízení. Kompetence PPP jsou totiž v zásadě širší a lze pod ně podřadit více problémů i žáků než pod kompetence SPC (Speciálně pedagogické centrum), které jsou vymezeny poměrně úzce.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the topic The role of an educational consultant on high school in cooperation with advisory facilities of the Karlovy Vary region. The goal of the diploma thesis is to process the analysis of the role of an educational consultant and forms of cooperation with school counselling facilities in the areas of support of school success and the education of pupils. The thesis has four chapters: introduction, theoretical outcomes, practical part and conclusion. The thesis also introduces the sources of information for educational counsellors, counsellors' job description and their methods as well as the problematics of the cooperation of the counsellors with other counselling or supportive facilities. The practical part includes targets and hypothesis, methodology selection, characteristics of the research sample, respondents' treatise, research outcomes, areas and methods of cooperation between the individual facilities and the research summary, which includes the verification of the investigation. What was found out throughout the investigation is the fact that regarding the cooperation with counseling facilities, cooperation with PPP (Pedagogical and Psychological Counseling Institute) was the preferable one, which is due to its job description and operation. PPP competences are supposed to be wider and more problems and pupils can be covered by them in contrast to SPC (Special Pedagogy Centre), whose competence are quite limited.
