Implementation of CSR Programs in a Selected Company

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou společenské odpovědnosti firem. Práce je rozdělena do teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část se věnuje základnímu vymezení CSR a zabývá se i historickým vývojem na území ČR a EU. Pozornost je věnována třem základním oblastem konceptu. Dále jsou rozebírány základní principy CSR a také argumenty pro a proti přijetí společensky odpovědného chování do firemní praxe. Na závěr této části je rovněž popsán proces implementace CSR. Praktická část je zaměřena na představení společensky odpovědných aktivit společnosti Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. Praktická část obsahuje také doporučení směrem k podniku na zlepšení své CSR politiky. Zatímco teoretická část vychází ze studia dosavadní relevantní literatury, praktická část vychází zejména z analýzy komunikačních aktivit zkoumaného podniku.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The paper is divided into a theoretical and a practital part. The theoretical part focuses firstly on a fundamental definition of CSR and it also covers the historical development of the concept in the Czech Republic and the EU. Attention is paid to three principal areas of the concept. Further, the paper addresses the basic principles of CSR and the arguments for and against the adoption of socially responsible behaviour into business practice. The final section of the theoretical part explains the CSR implementation process. The practical part is focused on explanation and presentation of CSR activities of Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. This section also contains recommendations towards possible improvement of the company's CSR policy. While the theoretical part comes from the study of existing relevant literature, the practical part is primarily based on an analysis of communications activities of the surveyed enterprise.
