Tato práce se zabývá akcenty, kterými se mluví na jihu Spojených států a v Apalačských horách. Ty jsou často vnímány s negativními konotacemi, proto si tato práce klade za cíl usnadnit porozumění a vnímání zmíněných akcentů rodilými mluvčími angličtiny. This thesis is concerned with accents spoken within the United States South and the Appalachian Mountains.
