User interface of a system for providing services to handicapped people

Anotácia:

Práce čtenáře seznamuje s problematikou tvorby internetové verze informačního systému na základě databáze, která je využívána již existujícím informačním systémem. Popisuje strukturu existujícího systému a rozebírá důvody pro vytvoření internetové verze. Zabývá se výběrem vhodných technologií, důkladným zabezpečením aplikace a zajištěním plné přístupnosti handicapovaným uživatelům. Dále se hlouběji věnuje rozebrání dílčích problémů a jejich řešení. Součástí práce je i hodnocení nevidomým uživatelem, který bude danou aplikaci používat.

Abstract:

This thesis introduces the reader to the questions of creating an internet version of an information system built on a database which is being used by an already existing system. It describes the structure of the existing system and analyses the reasons that lead to creating the internet version. It deals with the choices of suitable technologies, thorough securing of the application and ensuring full accessibility for handicapped users. Furthermore, it focuses on explaining the essence of partial problems and their solutions. The system has been evaluated by a blind user, whose evaluation is enclosed.
