Differences in the control systems in management with focus on pentahotel Prague

Anotace:

Předmětem bakalářské práce je určit rozdíly v kontrolních systémech managementu společnosti pentahotel Praha, která spadá pod firmu Penta Hotels Worldwide GmbH. Tento hotel je členem řetězce pentahotels a je charakteristický svým konceptem. Teoretická část se věnuje hotelovému průmyslu od jeho počátků na území České republiky. Dále rozebírá pojmy hotel, management a samostatnou kapitolu kontroly podniku. V praktické části se věnuje kontrolám hotelu pomocí mystery shoppingu a z pohledu generálního manažera. Toho je dosáhnuto rozhovorem s řídícím pracovníkem a výzkumnou metodou mystery shopping. Podle výsledku analýz vykonaných v tomto hotelu jsou navrhnuty opatření ke zlepšení nedostatků.

Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor‘s thesis is to determine the differences in management systems of pentahotel Praha, which belongs to Penta Hotels Worldwide GmbH. This hotel is a member of the pentahotels chain and is characterized by his concept. The theoretical part is devoted to the hotel industry since its inception in the Czech Republic. It further discusses the concepts of hotel, management and a separate business control chapter. In the practical part, thesis checks the hotel using mystery shopping and the control systems from the point of view of the general manager. This is achieved through an interview with the manager and the mystery shopping research method. According to the results of the analyzes carried out at this hotel, measures are proposed to improve the deficiencies.
