Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá historií matematických pojmů na českých základních školách na území České republiky. V první části diplomové práce se zabýváme pojmy obecnými a pojmy matematickými. Uvádíme zde, jak se pojmy tvoří a jaké jsou etapy pojmotvorného procesu. Také uvádíme základní informace o činnosti České terminologické komise pro matematiku Jednoty československých matematiků a fyziků, která působila od roku 1958 a v roce 2011 byla přejmenována na Terminologickou komisi pro školskou matematiku a o činnosti Matematického ústavu Akademie věd České republiky související s kodifikací terminologie. Ve druhé části diplomové práce se zabýváme analýzou dřívějších učebnice matematiky a také matematickým termínů uvedeným v Německo-českém slovníku vědeckého názvosloví, Ottově slovníku naučném a Masarykově slovníku naučném. Uvádíme používané matematické pojmy a srovnáváme je s těmi současnými. Pojmy jsou rozděleny do jednotlivých časových období. Dané pojmy, které uvádíme, jsou ze tří kategorií disciplín matematiky: aritmetika, algebra a geometrie. V příloze diplomové práce uvádíme stručné životopisy těch matematiků, kteří se významně podíleli na vytváření a změnách v matematické terminologii, například Hynek Soldát, Jan Kozák, Ladislav Červenka, Jan Vojtěch, František Vyčichlo, Václav Ingriš a další.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the history of mathematical concepts in Czech primary schools in geographical area of what is now the Czech Republic. In the first part of the thesis we deal with general and mathematical concepts. We present how concepts are formed and distinguish the different stages of the process of concept formation. We also present the basic activities of the Terminological Commission for Mathematics of the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists, which has been active since 1958 and in 2011, it was renamed Terminological Commission for school mathematics and also the activities of the Mathematical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic connected to the codification of mathematical terminology. In the second part of the thesis we analyse terms used historical mathematical textbooks as well as the mathematical terminology in the German-Czech vocabulary of scientific terminology, Otto's Encyclopaedia (Ottův slovník naučný) and Masaryk's Encyclopaedia (Masarykův slovník naučný) and we compare them to the current ones. The terms are divided into time periods. These terms are from three categories of mathematics disciplines: arithmetic, algebra and geometry. In the appendix we present brief biographies of those mathematicians who were involved in creating and changing mathematical terminology, for example Hynek Soldát, Jan Kozák, Ladislav Červenka, Jan Vojtěch, František Vyčichlo, Václav Ingriš and others.
