Correlation of dynamic cone penetration at selected locations

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje korelaci výsledků lehké dynamické penetrace typu SCALA s výsledky statické penetrace. Zabývá se výpočtem edometrického modulu přetvárnosti a jeho porovnáním s modulem změřeným v laboratoři na edometrickém přístroji. Výsledky ze statické penetrace a z laboratoře byly pro účel této bakalářské práce poskytnuty firmou Projekce iGeo s.r.o. a výsledky z lehké dynamické penetrace byly získány vlastním výzkumem. Vzájemným porovnáním dat se podařilo potvrdit spolehlivost lehké dynamické penetrace jako terénního sondovacího přístroje. Na zpracovaných grafech se lze přesvědčit o shodě výsledků naměřených pomocí statické penetrace a pomocí lehké dynamické penetrace. V druhé části výzkumu se však lehká dynamická penetrace ukázala spíše jako méně spolehlivá náhrada za laboratorní edometrický přístroj. Kvůli malému počtu vzorků se však toto tvrzení nedá jednoznačně potvrdit ani vyvrátit. Pro přesnější analýzu příčin vzniklé nepřesnosti výpočtu edometrického modulu přetvárnosti je potřeba širšího výzkumu, odebrání více neporušených vzorků pro podrobení laboratorním zkouškám, čemuž se však tato práce již nevěnuje.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis presents correlative results between lightweight dynamic cone penetrations, type SCALA, and the static penetration test. The thesis describes the calculations of the oedometric modulus of deformation and comparisons with models measured in a laboratory with the help of oedomeric machine. The laboratory data and the data of the static penetration were acquired through the company Projekce iGeo s.r.o. and the data of lightweight dynamic cone penetration were based on the author’s own research. The reliability of the lightweight dynamic cone penetration as a field probing device was confirmed by a comparison of the accumulated data. On the graphs, we observe the congruence with the measured data by the static penetration and the lightweight dynamic cone penetration. In the second part of the thesis, the lightweight dynamic cone penetration proved to be less reliable substitution for the laboratory oedometric device. However, due to a small number of samples, this claim cannot be clearly confirmed or refuted. For a more accurate analysis of the causes of inaccuracies in the calculation of the oedometric modulus of deformation, there is a need for more extensive research, submission of more intact specimens for laboratory testing, however that was not the focus of this thesis.
