The view of student teachers on pupils discipline and its solutions

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tím, jak studenti učitelství na praxi pohlíží na kázeň a její řešení. Empirická studie je rozdělená na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou uvedené tři hlavní kapitoly, které jsou za-měřené na kázeň a nekázeň ve škole a poslední kapitola je zaměřená na studenty učitelství na praxi a jejich práci s kázní žáků. V praktické části popisuji výzkumné šetření, jehož hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, jak studenti učitelství na praxi pohlíží na kázeň žáků a její řešení. Pro účely tohoto výzkumu byla použita data ve formě reflektivních deníkových záznamů od 228 studentů Pedagogické fakulty Masarykovy univerzity v Brně. Analyzováno bylo celkem 685 reflektivních deníkových záznamů v programu ATLAS.ti (8,9), pomocí techniky otevřeného kódování. Na základě provedeného kvalitativního výzkumu bylo zjištěno, že studenti učitelství ve svých reflektivních deníkových záznamech reportují, že se nejvíce na praxích potýkali s kázeňskými problémy týkající se vyrušování (32,24 % analyzovaných kódů), vulgárního chování a drzosti (22,4 % analyzovaných kódů). Ostatní kategorie kódů (nezájem žáků, šikana aj.) se vyskytovaly marginálně. Nejčastěji uplatňovaný kázeňský prostředek pro rektifikaci situace bylo napomenutí, zvýšení hlasu, nastavení pravidel, vyvolání žáka aj. Další kázeňské prostředky se vyskytovaly statisticky ne-významně.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with disciplinary problems and their solutions for students of teaching practice. The empirical study is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, there are three main chapters, which are focused on discipline and indiscipline at school and the last chapter is focused on students of teaching practice and their work with dis-cipline of students. In the practical part I describe a research survey, the main goal of which was to find out how teaching students view the discipline of pupils and their solutions in practice. For the purposes of this research, data in the form of reflective diary entries from 228 students of the Faculty of Educa-tion of Masaryk University in Brno were used. A total of 685 reflective diary entries in the ATLAS.ti program (8.9) were analysed using the open coding technique. Based on the qualitative research, it was found that teacher students in their reflective diary records report that they most in the practice faced disciplinary problems related to disturbance (32.24% of analysed codes), vulgar behavior and audacity (22.4% of analysed codes). Other categories of codes (pupils' lack of interest, bullying, etc.) occurred marginally. The most frequently used disciplinary means for rectifying the situation was reprimand, raising the voice, setting rules, invoking the pupil, etc. Other disciplinary means were statistically insignificant.
