Influence of home environment on relationship between social worker and client during home based assessment for purposes of decision about care

Abstract:

Ve své práci se věnuji vztahu sociálních pracovníků a klientů v domácím prostředí klientů. Zajímá mne, jakým způsobem vnímají sociální pracovníci vliv domácího prostředí na vztah sociálních pracovníků a klientů. K jakým rozdílům dochází oproti jednání na úřadě. V teoretické části stručně popisuji příspěvek na péči a sociální šetření jako hlavní důvod návštěvy domácností klientů. Dále se věnuji vymezení pojmu sociálního pracovníka jako úředníka první linie, klienta a jeho domácího prostředí a vztahu sociálního pracovníka a klienta. V další části práce popisuji výzkumný projekt, ve kterém byla použita kvalitativní strategie. V případové studii vybraného městského úřadu byly použity polostandardizované rozhovory se sociálními pracovníky zpracovávající agendu příspěvku na péči. V závěrečné části jsou uvedeny poznatky vyplývající z interpretace dat a jejich analýzy.

Abstract:

My bachelor’s thesis deals with the relationship between social workers and clients in the home environment of the clients. I am interested in the way, in which the social workers perceive an influence of home environment on relationship between social workers and clients. What are the differences compared to proceedings at the office. The theoretical part of my work briefly describes the care allowance and home based assessment as the main reasons for visit at clients‘ homes. Afterwards I define conceptions of social worker as the street-level bureaucrats, client and his home environment and relationship between social worker and client. The next part of my work describes a research project in which the qualitative strategy has been used. In the case study of the chosen municipal office the semistandardized interviews with the social workers processing the agenda of care allowance were conducted. The final part of my work presents the findings that resulted from interpretation and analysis of collected data.
