Práce primárně pojednává o vývoji událostí a roli OSN v Iráku v letech 2002-2005, nicméně z důvodu nutnosti znalosti širších souvislostí se práce zabývá i historickým vývojem v Iráku a Radě bezpečnosti OSN. Rovněž se snaží alespoň v základní formě nastínit specifika Iráku, jež hrály či hrají významnou roli. Abstract:
The thesis primarily aims to describe main events and a role of the United Nations in Iraq in 2002-2005. However, since broader knowledge in needed, the thesis also deals with historical events in Iraq and in the UN Security Council.
