Europe and human rights in the 21st century

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Evropa a lidská práva v 21. století“ se zabývá současnou formou ochrany lidských práv v Evropě. Nejprve se práce stručně zabývá problematikou definice pojmu „lidská práva“. Zbývající část je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol a každá kapitola poukazuje na práci jedné z těchto mezinárodních organizací – Organizace spojených národů, Organizace pro bezpečnost a spolupráci v Evropě, Rada Evropy a Evropské unie.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis “Europe and human rights in the 21st century” deals with contemporary form of protection of human rights in Europe. First the thesis briefly deals with the problem of defining the term „human rights“. The rest of the thesis is divided into four chapters and each chapter refers to efforts of one of these international organisations - United Nations Organization, The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Council of Europe and The Europen Union.
