The Approach to Pupils with Asperger's Syndrome at Primary School Focusing on the Support of Social Integration and Communication

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na přístupy pedagogických pracovníků ke vzdělávání žáků s Aspergerovým syndromem na 1. stupni ZŠ. Teoretická část diplomové práce se bude věnovat vymezení poruch autistického spektra se zaměřením na Aspergerův syndrom a specifickým problémovým oblastem této diagnózy. V praktické části bude využito kvalitativní výzkumné šetření. To bude probíhat ve vybraných základních školách prostřednictvím návštěv výzkumníka a s písemným souhlasem zákonných zástupců žáka. Výsledkem tohoto šetření bude analýza rozhovorů s pedagogickými pracovníky a analýza poradenských doporučení. Pro lepší porozumění zvolených metod pedagogických pracovníků budou popsány výzkumné vzorky popisující jednotlivé žáky. Ty budou doplněny o pozorování pedagogických pracovníků při práci s žákem s Aspergerovým syndromem. Jejich výstupem budou doporučení v oblasti sociálního začlenění a komunikace pro práci s žáky s Aspergerovým syndromem. Výsledky diplomové práce by se daly využít jako zdroj dobré praxe po další pedagogy, kteří vzdělávají žáky s Aspergerovým syndromem, ale také pro tvorbu nových ŠVP či informačních plakátků.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the approaches of pedagogical workers to the education of pupils with Asperger's syndrome at primary school regarding the support of social integration and communication. Theoretical part of the thesis will be focused on the definition of autism spectrum disorders with a focus on Asperger's syndrome and specific problem areas of this diagnosis. Qualitative research will be used in the practical part. This research will take place in selected primary schools through visits by the researcher and with the written consent of the pupil's legal representatives. The result of this investigation will be the analysis of interviews with pedagogical workers and the analysis of advisory recommendations. For a better understanding of the chosen methods of pedagogical workers, research samples representing individual pupils will be described. These will be supplemented by observations of pedagogical workers while working with a pupil with Asperger's syndrome. Their output will be recommendations in the field of social inclusion and communication for interaction with pupils with Asperger's syndrome. The results of the thesis could be used as a source of good practice for other pedagogical workers who educate pupils with Asperger's syndrome, but also for the creation of new school educational programmes or informational posters.
