Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá reakcí vlády i občanů USA na teroristické útoky z 11. září 2001 a jejich dopadem na základní práva a svobodu lidí pohybujících se na území USA. V úvodu práce bude popsána okamžitá reakce americké vlády na teroristické útoky na New York a Washington, D. C. a budou představeny všechny změny v amerických zákonech. Následující kapitoly se zaměří na důsledky těchto legislativních změn pro americké občany, přistěhovalce i turisty. Další kapitoly budou pojednávat o vlně patriotismu v americké společnosti ale také o pochybnostech a nedůvěře ve vládu a vzniku konspiračních teorií. Hlavním cílem této bakalářská práce je vysledovat, jak se teroristické útoky odrazily na postoji amerických občanů vůči jejich zemi a vládě.

Abstract:

This Bachelor's thesis deals with reaction of USA government and citizens to terrorist attack of 11th of September 2001 and its impact on basic human rights and freedom of people living on USA territory. At the beginning, the immediate reaction of America's government on terrorist attack on New York and Washington, D.C. will be described, and all changes in America's legislation. Following chapters focus on consequences of this legislation changes for America's citizens, immigrants and turists. Chapters will be dealing with wave of patriotism in America's society but also about suspicion and disbelief in government and creation of conspiration theories. The goal of this thesis is to find out how the terrorist attack changed the attitude of American's citizens to their government and country.
