Legislation on organic farming - comparison with Germany

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá legislativní úpravou ekologického zemědělství v České republice a v Německu. Cílem práce je zjištění rozdílů mezi českou a německou právní úpravou, a následné vyhodnocení podmínek v obou zemích. K dosažení stanovených cílů je zvolena metoda popisu a komparace. Text je strukturován do kapitol, ve kterých jsou postupně představeny právní předpisy Evropské unie, České republiky a Německa. V závěru práce vyplývá, že rozdíly v právní úpravě obou zemí nejsou velké, a tak nelze přesně určit, ve které z nich jsou lepší podmínky pro ekologické zemědělství.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the legislation concerning organic farming in the Czech Republic and Germany. The aim of this work is to find differences between the Czech and the German legislation and to evaluate the conditions in each country. In order to achieve this, description and comparison methodology were used. The text is organized into chapters, starting with an introduction to the legal regulation of the European Union, followed by the legal regulations in the Czech Republic ending with the legal regulations in Germany. In conclusion, this thesis establishes that the differences in legislation between the Czech Republic and Germany are not that significant. Therefore, it is impossible to determine where conditions are better for organic farming.
