Valuation of property in the settlement of an insured event

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o problematice v oblasti oceňování při pojistných událostech a o souvislostech při špatně nastavené pojistné částce při sjednání pojistné smlouvy ve vztahu k pojistné hodnotě. V první teoretické části je popsána oblast pojišťovnictví, specifické pojmy, používané metody při oceňování. Druhá praktická část je zaměřena na konkrétní praktický příklad a porovnání obou metod výpočtu hodnoty majetku. Ze strany obchodu a likvidace. V závěru práce je vyhodnocení obou metod a doporučení pro pojišťovnu, jak docílit, aby pojišťovaný majetek byl správně oceněn a nedocházelo k podpojištění a následnému krácení pojistného plnění.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with issues in the field of valuation in insurance events and the context of incorrectly set sum insured when concluding an insurance contract in relation to the insurance value. The first theoretical part describes the field of insurance, specific concepts, methods used in valuation. The second practical part is focused on a specific practical example and comparison of both methods of calculating the value of assets. At the end of the thesis is the evaluation of both methods and recommendations for the insurance company, how to achieve that the insured property is correctly valued and there is no underinsurance and subsequent reduction of insurance benefits.
