Qualitative and quantitative evaluation of stories evoked by TAT administered to sex offenders

Abstract:

Rigorózní práce navazuje na práci diplomovou, která byla pojata jako explorační výzkum. V teoretické části práce jsou přiblíženy oblasti týkající se sexuálních poruch a trestné činnosti (výzkumnou skupinu tvořili sexuální delikventi ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody) a Tematický apercepční test. Cílem praktické části bylo odpovědět na výzkumné otázky a potvrdit hypotézy, které byly stanoveny na základě výsledků exploračního výzkumu. Tento výzkum potvrdil hypotézu, že pro sexuální delikventy jsou významné málo strukturované karty. Dále byly zjištěny oblasti DIT, které jsou významnější pro skupinu sexuálních delikventů a ve SCORS, vztahy mezi oblastmi DIT a SCORS, rozdíly mezi oběma skupinami u TAT karet. Výzkum byl proveden kvantitativně. K práci jsou přiloženy kazuistiky všech osob, které se zúčastnily výzkumu, a kterými byl výzkum proveden kvalitativně. Bylo zjištěno, že pro skupinu sexuálních delikventů je vhodnější užití kvalitativního postupu.

Abstract:

The rigorous work continues in Thesis which was approached as exploratory research. The theoretical part gives information on sexual dysfunctions and crime (the research group was formed by sex offenders in prison), and on Thematic Apperception Test. The aim of the practical part was to answer the research questions and confirm the hypotheses based on the results of the exploratory research. The research confirmed the hypothesis that less structured cards are more significant for the sex offenders. Other findings show that some parts of DIT and SCORS are more significant for the group of sex offenders, and that there is a correlation between some parts of DIT and SCORS, and differences between the research groups in TAT cards. The research was approached in quantitative way. The paper is attached with case studies of all research subjects. The case studies are evaluated in qualitative way. The qualitative approach is more appropriate for the group of sex offenders.
