Work-life balance in the Selected Organization

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem work-life balance v organizaci T&T, která působí v Libereckém kraji. Cílem práce je zhodnotit stávající situaci v oblasti rovnováhy mezi pracovním a osobním životem zaměstnanců a na základě získaných dat navrhnout konkrétní opatření pro zlepšení. V teoretické části práce je definován koncept work-life balance, jsou zde představeny hlavní přínosy dosažení této rovnováhy jak pro zaměstnance, tak pro zaměstnavatele. Dále jsou zde definovány pojmy, které se pojí s tématem work-life balance. Praktická část se soustředí na charakteristiku subjektu, charakteristiku regionu a okresu, ve kterém firma působí. Dále se v této části práce nachází dotazníky pro zaměstnance společnosti a pro veřejnost. Součástí je i rozhovor s vedoucím společnosti. Zjištění ukazují, že ačkoliv organizace T&T již realizuje některá opatření pro podporu work-life balance, stále existují oblasti vyžadující zlepšení. Na základě analýzy dat práce navrhuje řadu opatření jako je zavedení Multisport karet, implementace dne duševního zdraví a zavedení vzdělávacích workshopů a seminářů na téma work-life balance.

Abstract:

This thesis addresses the topic of work-life balance within T&T Organization, which operates in the Liberec Region. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current situation regarding the balance between work and personal life of employees and to propose specific measures for improvement based on the data obtained. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the concept of work-life balance and presents the main benefits of achieving this balance for both employees and employers. It also defines terms related to the topic of work-life balance. The practical part focuses on the characterization of the subject, the characteristics of the region and district where the company operates. Furthermore, this part of the thesis contains questionnaires for the company's employees and for the public. It includes an interview with the company's head as well. Findings indicate that although T&T Organization is already implementing some measures to support work-life balance, there are still areas requiring improvement. Based on data analysis, the thesis proposes a series of measures such as the introduction of Multisport cards, implementation of a mental health day, and the establishment of educational workshops and seminars on the topic of work-life balance.
