The present thesis interprets Angela Carter?s The Passion of New Eve as an initiatory novel. Its main objective is to show the interaction between the inner and the outer space. Tato diplomová práce analyzuje knihu Angely Carterové Vášeň nové Evy coby román iniciace. Hlavním cílem je prezentace vztahu vnitřího prostoru postav a vnějšího prostoru reálií a prostředí, kde se příběh odehrává. Práce se také zabývá otázkou iniciace hlavní postavy, respektive se snaží hledat argumenty pro a proti myšlence, že by iniciace hlavní postavy byla dovršena.
