Diplomová práce se zabývá institutem trestního práva - domácím vězením, zavedeného novým českým trestním zákonem č. 40/2009 Sb. Práce si klade za cíl hmotněprávní a procesně právní analýzu trestu, jejíž nerozdílnou součástí bude i filozofie trestání a vývoj alternativních trestů v českém právu, ale i zkušenosti ze zahraničí. This thesis deals with the institution of criminal law - house arrest, which was introduced by new Czech criminal law No. 40/2009 Coll. Aim of thesis is substantive and procedural analysis of house arrest. Necessary part of the work is also philosophy of Punishment and the development of alternative sentences in Czech law but also experiences from abroad.
