Bavarian party system

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je věnována stranickému systému v Bavorsku, jakožto druhé největší spolkové zemi v Spolkové republice Německo. V práci je propojena politologická teorie s konkrétním případem, právě v podobě stranického systému v Bavorsku. Nejprve jsou vyložena relevantní teoretická východiska, kterými jsou politická strana, stranický systém a regionální strana. V textu nalezneme definici politické strany od Edmunda Burka, Maxe Webera a Giovanniho Sartori. Typologie politických stran ukazujeme poté u H. U. Brinkmanna. Pro definování a typologie stranického systému byli vybráni Maurice Duverger, Jean Blondel a opět Giovanni Sartori. Cílem práce je seznámit čtenáře se stranickým systémem v Bavorsku a stranami, které v tomto regionu působí. Mezi tyto strany patří SDP, FDP a CSU čili Křesťansko- sociální unii. Tomuto politickému subjektu je věnována největší pozornost, jelikož strana již několik desítek let vládne Bavorsku a její oblíbenost, po období propadu, opět stoupá. Její vliv se však neomezuje pouze na mateřskou spolkovou zemi, nýbrž na celé Německo. Skupina poslanců za CSU zastupuje právě její i bavorské zájmy ve spolkovém sněmu, spolkové radě, Evropském parlamentu, a v případě úspěšných voleb a následné koaliční spolupráce s CDU, i ve spolkové vládě. Spolupráce s CDU je poměrně neobvyklá, a tak je důležité si jí nastínit. V práci jsou uvedeny aspekty, které by mohly ovlivňovat oblíbenost CSU u bavorských voličů, dále jsou zde představeni všichni její předsedové, její programatika, výsledky voleb či typický volič CSU. V závěru práce jsou předvedena specifika bavorského stranického systému a nesmí chybět ani pohled na jeho předpokládanou budoucnost.

Abstract:

This bachalor thesis was aimed at political system in Bavaria, the second largest federal state in Federal Republic of Germany. The basis of this work is the comparing of the politological theory with specific case/subject the partial system in Bavaria in this case. At the beggining the relevant theoretical way outs like the political party, the partial system and the regional party were explained. It inlclueds also the definiton of the political party formulated by Edmund Burk, Max Weber and Giovanni Sartori. The typology of the political parties is demostrated using theories formulated by . H. U. Brinkmann. For definition and characterization of the partial system the thoughts and theories formulated by Maurice Duverger, Jean Blondel and Giovanni Sartori were used. The main aim of this thesis is to apprise the reader about the structure of political system and the political parties, which are the most active in Bavaria - SDP, FDP a CSU. In the next part of this thesis the biggest attention to The Cristian-Social Union (CSU) is payed. The CSU leads in Bavaria over decades and enjoys great popularity, which even had increased in the last couple years. The influence of CSU is also evident in the whole Federal Republic of Germany. The members of CSU are sitting in the Federal Congress and the European Parlament. In the case of the succsess in the next elections and the concluasion of an agreament about the coalition co-operation with the CDU, the another strong political party, the CSU can be part of Federal government too. In the next part of the thesis the aspects of the popularity of CSU, the current chairmen/leaders, the results of elections from previous years and the typical voter of the CSU were presented too. In the final chapter the presumed future of Bavarian partial system was discused.
