Unbreakable Warriors of The Film Industry: Beginnings of Casting in The Czech Production.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá procesem etablování profese castingové režie do lokálního audiovizuálního průmyslu v průběhu 90. let. Castingová režie vznikla především díky změnám ve filmovém průmyslu, které nastaly bezprostředně po roce 1989. Přičemž zrekonstruování podmínek, které tento proces doprovázely je hlavním cílem práce. Vzhledem k absenci lokálních zdrojů je práce vystavěna zejména na sběru etnografických dat, které představují výchozí rámec pro nabytí většiny zjištění.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis examines the process of establishing the profession of casting director in the local audiovisual industry during the 1990s. Casting direction was able to establish itself mainly due to the changes in the film industry that occurred immediately after 1989, which marked an important historical year. While reconstructing the conditions that accompanied this process is the main goal of the work. Due to the absence of local sources, the work is mainly based on the collection of ethnographic data, which represent the initial framework for the acquisition of most of the findings.
